Side Tracking to Indiana

With Lynn and Lloyd still with us on the Lincoln truck there was a little leeway to go see Zach in Indiana. We drove most of the way there and stopped in after they were home from church on Sunday. Sweet little Elizabeth was all smiles, Dorothy did all her funny voices and as always Derrick was hilarious. He is so creative and has a wild imagination. A true farm boy he gathered eggs from his chickens and told us about the baby chicks that were still in their eggs. All of this pretend of course. When pulling up to the house it was pretty easy to tell which one was theirs. A backyard with a peddle tractor and three peddle cars gave it away. Pippi spent the day being chased by their lab Hunter and after getting some of Jill’s chili for lunch we went for a walk. Zach took us to the Pioneer Mothers Preserve, an old growth forest. We goofed around a bit but had a great time.
