Coming This Week: January 26th – February 1st

We say goodbye to the Bay Area and onto the next market, Los Angeles.  With some shows around Long Beach you can sure bet we will be making a visit the Queen Mary and the sweet Scottie Carleigh.   I don’t know for sure how long we will be in Los Angeles and then San Diego but a month is likely. Arriving this Friday is my bestie Maria from New Zealand.  Just can’t wait!!!!!!!

Recap: Last week was had a great day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, oh the fun we had.  I have a thing for eels and was not disappointed.  While in Sonoma we visited with cousins and friends from Minnesota, had a few glasses of wine too.  This was my first time with my Polaroid Camera, it was a hit.  Love it.

Coming This Week: January 19th-25th

We are a bit loose this week, just one show in Sunnyvale the rest of the time to see friends and family around The Bay Area.  So luxurious.

Recap: We drove a slightly different route than normal through California, into the heart of agriculture. Both Josh and I grew up in some of this country’s most epic farmland. Seeing an entirely different definition of farming here was shocking. The labor intrusive nature of what it grow here was eye opening, I am used to huge farm enterprises with a largely mechanized processes. Viewing individually wrapped stalked, intricate irrigation tubing and the amount of fruit trees to be picked it’s a whole different world.

Saw Inside Llewyn Davis this week, love the Coen Brothers but was not a huge fan of this flick. Over my head I guess.

Coming This Week: January 12th-18th

This is officially our first week back out on tour, just week was just a quick trip to Dallas to get the trailer ready to go.  We have arrived in the Bay Area and will remain here for two weeks before hopping down the coast to Los Angeles.

Song of the Week: Step Out by Jose Gonzalez (Walter Mitty Soundtrack) This song makes me tear up, most just for its beauty but the scene from the movie that it was used in is my favorite, the one that took my breath away and made me see how my life is wonderful.  So thank you Jose.

A Review:  Last week we had a crazy journey with multiple flights, rebooks and cab rids to make it to Dallas.  The folks at Southwest are great and unlike MANY travelers we got there with our bags.

Had some time to see American Hustle, a great movie thoroughly enjoyed.

Coming This Week: January 5th-11th

Best to start the year off with the wheels turning. After departing from our office in Detroit on Monday we will meet up with the Rohde & Schwarz truck in Dallas. Spending a few days there to get maintenance completed and the carpets cleaned will ease us into the first drive, to The Bay Area.

The tour launches Jan 14th with two weeks worth of shows in the South Bay but you can bet on a trip up to Petaluma to see our family.

Review: Last week was our last week of vacation for a while, not that we are sad Rohde & Schwarz is sending us south!!!!  We did try to fill the week with some fun like visiting The House on the Rock and a few movie.

Coming This Week: August 5 – 11

Back in the US now and on our way to sunny California. I so rarely get to see this part of country and never the Bay area. We will be moving markets every week for a while, a nice pace. After California we make for Salt Lake City (might be a Scottie visit in there)

Rental Car Notes: GMC Terrain – It’s a fine little SUV with tons of blind spots.  They back seats don’t fully fold down (the main reason we rented it)
