Coming This Week: December 13th – 19th

While we are spending this week in Detroit, happily finishing up some work for our clients, this is also going to be a week of crazy.  There are parties to attend, chocolates to be purchased, a growler to be filled with beer, and a few other little holiday tasks before we pack up and roll home.  For the first time we are really making the rounds.  The next few weeks will include visits to Dekalb, Mt. Sterling, Dubuque, and Chicago.

Song of the Week: Mama’s Little Baby – Delbert McClinton

Week in Review: Unfortunately I would like to say we had all kinds of birthday fun last week but Josh was pulled away last minute to help with a work emergency.  Instead we decided to just move everything forward a week.  Since there were already fun events planned for next week, this will just make it better.  However I did get a lovely gift from him, a shiny new Apple Watch!!

Coming This Week: August 23rd – 29th

It was fun while it lasted, we spent just two weeks out with this tour, now we are going back into the shop for a few modifications.  So it will be a few days in Indianapolis then some time in Madison Heights.  However next week has some excitement.  We will be heading to Chicago for some fun times; taking in the USA vs Australia Rugby match.  There are lots of friends joining us.  Maybe a Bears game in there too!!!!

Song of the week: This Land is Your Land – Marc Scibilia, Yes this was used in the Jeep Superbowl Commercial but I found it very striking.

Week in Review: I had the chance to go home last weekend to see my parents and help them out with a little home improvement, winning the “Daughter of the Year” award.  Josh had a nice week being barred in the Michigan snow.

Song of the week: Timber – with Pitbull and Ke$ha

Week in Review: We had the fun of moving back into our tractor this week, always feels like we have too much stuff. It was another week for cinema going, this time it was Inherent Vice.  What can be said about this one.  It was weird, entertaining but weird.  I think it was supposed to be funny.  If either of us knew more about the drug culture we might have gotten the jokes and references.

Coming this Week: July 27th – August 2nd

A week off the road, well sort of.  I am going to home to help my family with a few things while Josh stays in Detroit to help the company with a few things.  Next week we hit St. Louis and Cedar Rapids.  Then it is vacations time, we are joining Josh’s family in Missouri for a family reunion.  Should be a heck of a good time.

Song of the week: My Silver Lining by First Aid Kit, a bit of a travelers song

Week in Review: Not much happened last week outside of work, we did have a cool visit to NASA Goddard which is a cool facility.

Coming This Week: January 5th-11th

Best to start the year off with the wheels turning. After departing from our office in Detroit on Monday we will meet up with the Rohde & Schwarz truck in Dallas. Spending a few days there to get maintenance completed and the carpets cleaned will ease us into the first drive, to The Bay Area.

The tour launches Jan 14th with two weeks worth of shows in the South Bay but you can bet on a trip up to Petaluma to see our family.

Song of the Week: Elvis Presley Blues by Gillian Welch

Review: Last week was our last week of vacation for a while, not that we are sad Rohde & Schwarz is sending us south!!!!  We did try to fill the week with some fun like visiting The House on the Rock and a few movie.

Arr! We took to the high seas last week and cast out for a day sail or two.

Yup, we went sailing! Ahhh! So relaxing and boy was the water nice. Actually got the Rocky Comfort out three times. I’m amazed at how easy it was to put up the sails. Last year it felt like I needed to think everything through much more. This year it was just second nature.

My new little friend even joined us, everyone this Travelocity Gnome. He was a gift from my mom and will be traveling with us for a while.

Isn’t he just the cutest!
