Coming This Week: October 26th – November 8th

I’m not sure how to make sense out of our upcoming schedule so I put up new calendar pages.  Josh and I are going to help out on separate tours until the end of the year.  I will be mostly in Detroit, sometimes joining Josh.  I will probably be in Chicago often too.  Josh will be doing some miles this week he hits Houston and Auburn, AL.  However before we return to work there are some adventures yet to be had.  First of all I am going to Ohio to get some R&R and we are ending the week with a BANG!  We have tickets to the see USA Rugby play the New Zealand All Blacks at Soldier Field in Chicago.  We are also going to be seeing tons of friends from all over the country who are also going.

Week in Review: Last week was wonderful, we spent time off the road relaxing with family.  There was some time to watch a movie and the choice was Gone Girl, we have both read the book (all of Flynn’s actually).  We are in disagreement of this one.  I loved it, he thought it was long.  If you have not read the book you will love it, if you have it’s a tossup.

Coming This Week: September 7th – 13th

Sweet home Chicago!  This week we will be back in Illinois, doing shows around the Chicago area.   We will hopefully be arriving in time to watch the Bears season opener with some family.  I can’t think of a better way to start the season, BEAR DOWN!!!  And remember don’t call me on Sunday.  As you can see that map keeps getting more and more spread out.  We are trying to hit a number of markets before this tour ends for the year.  Next week we will hit Greensboro and Birmingham.

Song of the week: Boys from Alabama by Cross Canadian Ragweed

Week in Review:  Montreal was lovely but made so more by having a special tour guild.  We often make jokes about having family everywhere, we really do.  Josh’s cousin Andrea just moved to the city four months ago showed us around.  We tried to hit as many of the neighborhoods as possible but enjoyed Old Montreal above all.  Keeping with tradition we also tried poutine, a first for all of us.  I don’t know how I feel about it, a bowl of cheese, fries and gravy all good but a bit strange.  It is now checked off the list and we moved quickly to other yummy meals.

You don't have to ask me twice to go into a year round Christmas store!!!

Coming This Week: August 11 – 17

Alright this is going to be one crazy week.  For starters we are in Detroit for the next couple of days tying up some loose ends on Rohde & Schwarz.  We will be flying to Newark for a show with the Smithsonian Animal Connections truck on Wednesday.  That one will be crazy, we are parking the truck right in front of the New York Stock Exchange.  After that show Josh is staying with the Smithsonian for another week, I will return to Detroit to finish the last minute items for the re-launch of Rohde & Schwarz.  That truck will head to the Chicago area for a series of shows.  Josh is staying with Smithsonian to for a series of shows in Newark.  He will then meet me in Chicago.

Yup, it’s going to be crazy.

Blog

Coming This Week: July 14 – 20

My frustration levels over trying to manage this blog and work and school have come to a head.  I love my job and I love this blog (I only like school).  Since I’m not willing to give up on any of these things a new balance must be found.  I am frustrated that at most I get two posts up a week.  So in an effort to share our travels and still find time to sleep and eat I will best posting shorts more photo based posts.

Coming this week:  We are spending the early part of this week in Indianapolis training to take out a very short but very important tour.  We will be bringing the Animal Connections to the Chicago area the last two weeks of July.  Animal connections is sponsored by the American Veterinary Medicine Association in partnership with the Smithsonian.  So yeah, my new client is the Smithsonian!!!!!  And the tour is about animals.  Yeah I know right!!  This just a short tour and we will return to our primary clients,  Rohde & Schwarz, in August.  I will be sharing more details as I’m able.
