Another lovely week in Dallas, actually it has cooled off a bit. It only gets up too 100! It’s been great staying in one place for a while (same hotel too) but I’m sure thy by week’s end I’ll be itching to go. Go where? Off to Kansas City, a week there. Then a week of driving to get up to Whistler, BC. Life can be rough out here.

Song of the Week: Long Hot Summer Days – Performed by Turnpike Troubadours
The first time I heard this tune it made me homesick. I great up very close to the Illinois River and the towns mentioned are almost my hometown. I love songs about Illinois and Minnesota.
Rental Cars: We started the week with an Impala (you know what happened to that one) and finished with a Dodge Avenger. I’m sure that the Avenger is a fine car but not when your downgraded from an Impala.
Hotel Notes: During weeks like these we usually stay at an extended stay style hotel. A place with a kitchenette and hopefully two rooms. The Homewood Suites by Hilton is where we have been settled while in Dallas. They are roomy but often a bit worn. This one is no exception but at the rate I booked for I’m not complaining.
