Today we’re turning 500, in blog years that is. I started this blog in 2007 after Josh and I got married. At the time I was crafting like a maniac, participating in swaps. This blog was born out of that need, amazing to think what it has become now.
Three years ago our lives changed dramatically, as a family we decided to start the crazy adventure of going on the road. This blog also changed, for once I had something interesting to talk about. The passion for travel fueled a passion for writing.
I know this all going to sound very sentimental but I have become a person I really like, with no small part being credited to writing this blog. I am a blogger, l love writing, thinking about writing. Never would I have thought that a very average dyslexic student would be writing for the Library of Congress. Little did I know that people from all over the world would find us interesting.
Writing this blog has been an outlet in emotionally trying times, the car accident my father was in and the time following were made easier with your support. I write this blog for our families whom don’t see us often, for friends who are scattered around the states, for the other bloggers I consider to be friends but mostly I write this for me. I like telling stories. Thank you all for being with me and I hope that there are 500 more in me.
Congrats on the big 5-0-0. We are right behind you. And I’m so glad we are friends. Without these blogs, two dyslexic, would be journalist, Scottie (and Marine) lovers would have never found each other!
That is exactly it, this has been an amazing journey.
Congratulations on 500 and all you’ve accomplished! Here’s to 500 more! 🙂
