Today I found out that a friend of mine who was under the weather is now in the hospital. He is a dear friend and for many years a travel partner. His health does not surprise me but it is amazing how helpless I feel. I can’t go see him, I can’t send a hug through an email and I can’t kiss it away. He is going to be ok but will have to make lifestyle changes. This comes at a time when he is going to be laid off from his job. One he loves and a company he loves. I lament here not for pity but that I need to talk about this.
All this happens at the same time I found out Willa has had a tumor removed from her jaw. Everyone thinks she will be ok but what a day! I am sure she will be back to chewing up the pillows in now time.
