Sweet home Chicago! This week we will be back in Illinois, doing shows around the Chicago area. We will hopefully be arriving in time to watch the Bears season opener with some family. I can’t think of a better way to start the season, BEAR DOWN!!! And remember don’t call me on Sunday. As you can see that map keeps getting more and more spread out. We are trying to hit a number of markets before this tour ends for the year. Next week we will hit Greensboro and Birmingham.

Week in Review: Montreal was lovely but made so more by having a special tour guild. We often make jokes about having family everywhere, we really do. Josh’s cousin Andrea just moved to the city four months ago showed us around. We tried to hit as many of the neighborhoods as possible but enjoyed Old Montreal above all. Keeping with tradition we also tried poutine, a first for all of us. I don’t know how I feel about it, a bowl of cheese, fries and gravy all good but a bit strange. It is now checked off the list and we moved quickly to other yummy meals.
Don’t call me on Sundays, I’m not in. No, I’m planted in front of the TV or at some sports bar, mixing with my own kind. I’m referring to other Chicago Bears fans. The things we do in order to make sure as not to miss the game. Like getting up at 5:00 am to drive 300 miles before kickoff.
Don’t call me on Sundays, I’m not in. No, I’m carefully picking out my clothes to represent the proper amount of blue and orange. Because Jay Cutler knows if I’m not wearing my team name with pride. My Bears t-shirts give the those boys the extra boost they need to bring home a win.
Don’t call me on Sunday, I’m not in. If we have won our midday game I’m too excited to talk and there are more games to watch. It’s not just our wins that lead to tittles; it’s everyone else’s play too. If we lost then I’m sulking and really don’t want to talk.
Don’t call me on Sundays, I’m not in. But you can text BEAR DOWN.
This will be our last week in the Midwest until November. Starting in Dayton and moving onto Fort Wayne, IN. We have three shows this week but who cares the NFL regular season starts! Bear Down Chicago Bears, I’ve got one guess as to what the babes over at Jazzi’s World are doing today as well.
Song of the Week: All These Things That I’ve Done by The Killers – We sing obnoxiously loud along with song whenever it comes on.
Notes from last Week: Had three amazing chances to take out our sailboat while back at the office over the weekend. Also had time to work on it, cleaning and fixing some wiring. Yes, I swabbed the deck.
