Reaching Out

One of the gals I have a great deal of contact with finds it very funny that when she fills me in on our schedule dates I often reply with “Oh, we have family there”.  It’s true we have family all over the place and our friends are a part of that group.  Unfortunately we don’t keep in touch with that many of our buddies from the past.  Really it’s the ones who stuck by when we made our big moves.  Those friends who didn’t mind going six months without word.  They are our family too.   We spend holidays together and share our lives like family.

Our family is close-knit, like most people who grow up in small communities; we cherish the times we get to spend with everyone.  When my client told me that we would either be in Phoenix or Vegas for Thanksgiving my response was cool we have family in both.  She just laughed, is there anywhere you don’t have family.

Our friends understand even if we don’t speak every week we still care deeply for them.  Our amazing friends are always checking in to see where we are, trying to scheme for a visit.  In the past couple of month a few folks from our close circle have made major life changes and it’s awesome to be a part of that.  They aren’t leaving us by moving and we can just be their friends.

I want to give a big hug to everyone who reaches out to us.  You know who you are, you know what you do and we love you all for it.
