What does it mean to “live out of a suitcase”? For some it refers to a feeling of never being settled; that for some reason you don’t send every night in your own bed. For others it might be a reference to not fully unpacking in a new living situation. For it is just how I live. My belongings are all in a suitcase; a few to be exact.
I have two large cases that hold all of my clothing, shoes, accessories and whatnot. A very large one for out of season and a large one for the road. I don’t keep clothing long and don’t have room for much anyway. I buy a few things at a time and wear them until I’m sick of it. Just can’t get attached to stuff like that. I don’t collect t-shirt or trinkets from all the places we stop. This blog is really how I try to remember my travels.
With the changing of the seasons also comes the changing of my wardrobe. So many things that I want to hang onto will fade away after a month or so when I realize that I don’t wear them. They will be replaced by something trendy and fun, or clean.
The choice to live like we do is more than just a career path but it is a lifestyle. There are negatives and pitfalls but we chose to do this. We chose to “live out of a suitcase”.

And wine. Don’t forget the wine.
No need to publish this one. Just made me smile.

We think that’s great. SHE has a closet full of stuff that SHE might wear sometime in the future….but just wears the same stuff over and over.
