This is not going to be a post about how Best Buy somehow jilted me on service coverage of my camera. Actually they did very right by me, they replaced my camera. Thanks to the service package I purchased from Best Buy I am now the owner of a Nikon D5100. I also totally understand why many of my photographer friends buy a new camera every year. I’m amazed at how much the technology has changed in two years. I was very happy with my D5000 but wow I really like the D5100. The service plan gave me credit for a comparable model and I paid $100 extra for the upgrade. I purchased another service plan, well worth it if I need to have work done again. They will even fix a moldy lens and we do get our gear wet.
So here’s to learning a whole new camera.

Yay! So happy that you are with camera again!! I’m still waiting on my sexy new D4…they send me email every other week to let me know it’s still on backorder and they don’t know when it will ship..it’s OK, I can wait!
