Yesterday I came across a posting from an American Cartoonist that lives with her husband in Holland. She is a very crafty person, kind of the just make it person I would love to be. She was talking about the curtains she had just made for her sunroom (roman shades) and posted images. In this bright white room were bold pink and red floral curtains. I read a little more and looked at some of the other crafty Dutch blogs she in linked too. I was inspired by the Shabby Chic, French Country style. Everything is very clean but full of colors, patterns and texture. So a trip to the fabric store last night lead to purchasing a green, brown and tan fabric for the roman shades and a light brown embroidered corduroy for the valance. I showed the fabric to Josh last night he loves it and likes the added color in the room.
